My husband works. Every Friday night. I have work til 9pm a lot of the time but some Friday nights… I’m alone. And tonight? I decided to take myself on a date. What (for me) makes a good date? GOOD FOOD!!
So I decided to make pizza.
I am kinda boring when it comes to pizza (and so many other things…) And I just like plain pepperoni and cheese pizza. Occasionally I like to throw on some sausages when I am feeling crazy. Like, tonight apparently.
So while I wait for the pizza to cook I popped in a movie and started eating one of my favorite snacks.
Now I am finishing up my movie. Wishing that I had my husband here. He would watch it with me and we would cuddle. Even though I am watching a chick flick..
And my pizza? It needed a little more cheese and a little less sauce. Thanks for asking.
Ok. I just need to shout that out every now and then.
I never was one of those kids that couldn’t wait to grow up. Couldn’t wait to move out. To be able to “do whatever I want” I was always quite happy with my low responsibility childhood. Although, It is true that I did spend the majority of my childhood in my imaginary world (just ask my brother) and I was always in my 20′s and living on my own. I had a job, my own apartment meeting new people all the time… But when brought back to real life, I was always quite happy that I was still 8. or 10. or whatever.
And now? It’s actually about the same. I love where I am in my life. I love my husband. I love my job. I love feeling like I work hard and I can pay my own bills. I love progression! But sometimes… what I wouldn’t give to be in that world again! Riding my bike past my money bush where I can pick the leaves and buy anything that I want! Then flip the bike over and it is suddenly an ice cream machine and I serve to to all those who have traveled miles to have some while have invigorating conversations with Mickey Mouse…
Oh well.
I am off to tackle my “TO DO” list!
